Matthew Johnson, known professionally as Matt Saxx, is a globally acclaimed nightclub saxophonist, rising to prominence for his dynamic performances in pop and house music. Trained under jazz virtuoso Gary Plumley on the Isle of Wight and later under Jim Corry of Jamiroquai fame at Leeds College of Music, Matt honed his craft and graduated with a BA(Hons)(Jazz Studies) in 2014.

Since then, Matt has graced premier venues across the UK, Ibiza, and beyond, securing residencies with iconic promoters like CandyPants, HotBed and BoatClub. Notable highlights include electrifying performances at Formula 1 events in Abu Dhabi, prestigious gigs in Dubai, and acclaimed Balearic residencies in Ibiza, including memorable sets at OBeach and Nikki Beach.

 

Matt's stellar career includes joining platinum-selling artist Nathan Dawe's band in 2022, leading to headline performances at major festivals like WeAreFstvl, Creamfields and Sundown Festival. The performing quartet have supported Craig David and NDubz, sold out the Utilita Arena, Birmingham, and hold a coveted residency at Ibiza Rocks Hotel.
